The Design/Build Method

The Design/Build method is our preferred model. One responsible party concept to completion. No need for finger pointing. No excuses for the disconnect at delivery that is all too common in the Design/Bid /Build Method. The effort that goes into developing the plan, implementation strategy, finish level and budget simultaneously translates into a smoother delivery of the construction phase of the project. It reduces the incidence of cost overruns and job delays. We here at There's no place Like Home LLC are happy to serve you in several ways, but highly recommend this method as the most likely way for you to get the most for your money, as well as the most attentive and cohesive service available in the Albuquerque area

How does it start?

You get to know us a little. We get to know you a little

Together we  determine what you are trying to achieve for your home. We discuss budget if applicable. We enter a  design agreement based on mutual confidence. Your first deposit is due at the signing of this agreement

What happens next?

We perform an existing condition measurement and systems evaluation. Proper design requires a thorough understanding of existing site conditions. As it applies to your project we will:

Your needs and wants are mapped out.

Design layout including style and ergonomic options are explored

Material selections begin with red carpet treatment at our various supplier's showrooms (we don't restrict your creativity by limiting your options)implementation issues and methods are weighed for feasibility and budgetability so that actual project costs and option points can be calculated

The Comes Excitement of the Second Site Visit......

 

When we have achieved the optimal design and are moving toward the fixed budget it is usually beneficial to have some of our Select Trade Associates visit the site of the proposed project to cross check for any conditions that could impact their firm fixed pricing. These vital members of our team have been carefully screened to help us provide the very best workmanship available in central New Mexico. Occasionally we may have  as many as a dozen specialists in their individual fields visit your home with us on that busy day!

 

The Agreement!

 

We will then have reached the point where Guaranteed Pricing* has been generated, and you will be able to place the order for your actual project. At this point we will close out the design fees as established by your design agreement .

We Make This Solemn Commitment To Our Clients:

 

*Guaranteed Pricing refers to material and labor that has been agreed to by you and us; additional work caused by unforeseen site conditions or work added by customer request can cause the pricing to change as well as cause the project to take longer than initial projections

 

Now What?

We will order the materials required to produc Your Award Worthy Project. Dominic Padilla will take personal charge of staging your project for expert implementation

When all that is needed to complete your project is in place Dominic will set your fixed start date

 

Then The Real Work Begins!

 

We will start your project as soon as we can. We will work on your project at the rate that True Quality can be produced. Our normal field operation hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM with  a half hour Lunch Break

We want your project to be a point of pleasure and pride for you for years to come. We will not Dawdle, nor will we rush. We will communicate with you throughout your project. Jim will visit weekly or more frequently. Dominic will be more present than that!
